Overcoming Internet Impact

Everyone, imagine that you are living in non-internet era. Can you survive on that era? It’s like going to the past right? Just like a nightmare comes to life. Like a world without light.

                On this globalization era, we are pampered by the sophisticated technology. We get an easily access for through our day, but that easiness sometimes bring a bad impact for us. Just see around us, how us get effected by the technology development.

                Nowadays the information technology development gives unexpectedly impact to the society. The internet networking reach up to the outlying place and made the villager should ready to face the new culture. This era demand the information being as everyone’s necessary.

                To know what are the positive effects of internet, negative effects of internet and how to overcoming the internet impact, so today I will deliver a speech about Overcoming Internet Impact. I will divide it into 3 parts. The first one is the internet positive effect, the second is internet negative effect then the last is internet impact overcoming.

                Let’s start with the first one, the positive effect of internet. Internet has many positive effects such as;

1.       Internet as the communication media. Internet is a device that used by the society to communicate with another internet user in the world.

2.       Data exchanges media. By using email, newsgroup, ftp, and www (World Wide Web) all of the internet user can exchange the information without any expense.

3.       Information searching media. Every person needs some information to know, internet help us to give information that happen in the world in a short time.

4.       The ease of transaction and do business in the trade field. We can earn profit by selling something on internet. Nowadays there are so many online shops that serve a good quality thing and very trusted by the buyer.

Not only the positive effect that internet gave to us, that easiness absolutely made a negative effects too for our life, there are;

1.       Dependence. Internet has an attractive quality that responding every stimulus that given from the user. It makes the user feels comfortable and won’t leave it.

2.       Violence and Gore. So many violence and gores are showed on the internet. The contain side on internet is unlimited, so the website’s owner use so many ways to sell his/her website by showing the thing that related to the violence and gore. Experimental study shows that there is a positive relation by playing internet games with criminality especially for the internet game that having a violence and gore element. A research said that the internet game has a destroying characteristic for someone’s behavior than in television or in daily life instead.

3.       Pornography. So many pornography website that make parents fidgety for worrying their children would consuming or saw a porn things on the internet. There are so many porn pictures that served on the internet, it will also create a someone’s behavior do criminality.

4.       Anti-social behavior. Where the internet user does not care anymore in their social environment and prefer to choose the internet. People will seldom to interact with everyone, so their interpersonal and emotional ability is not developing optimally. It will cause someone became individualism.

To overcoming the negative effect that caused by internet there are some solutions to handle it. First is Do more activities that make you happy, such as; travelling, go shopping, do sport, and socialize with everyone. Then second is the parents role was very important to control their children activities by put the computer on the open place so that parents can control what their children saw and applying the time limit while the children play the internet. Then the last is by knowing the bad impact that we will get, on this case the socialization of internet is the important thing to know for everyone.

So we have known about the positive effect of internet, negative effect of internet and how to overcoming the internet impact. So everyone what should we do after know this information? Absolutely don’t too busy or too enjoy with the internet or social media because it will erase us from the real life and be a smart internet user! . Thank you for your attention.
